Park em’ in the street.
Park em’ in the street.
Ooo, Ahhh.
……
Park. Them. In. The. Street.
What are you imagining?
You know what the street is, right? But can you define it for me please? … As kids, some of us played in it. As grown kids, some of us stay in it. “But all these roads are not the same cuzzo.”
It’s Thursday. I’m at work. I’m thinking about the humans and how we still don’t know how to act (unlike Julia). The level of communication these days is like I-45. Yes, there’s back and forth, and you’ll get to where you’re going eventually, but there’s also traffic, bad drivers, construction delays, and etc.. It for sure is no Hardy Toll Road but right now it’s the only route I’m taking (to solve this problem).

Park em’ in the street.
I’m back outside.
It’s Friday night, I’m in the club, and I am sad.
There were not any warning signs for this one. … It started when I exited the freeway. I wasn’t supposed to take this exit, but when I glanced to my right, I saw some of the most beautiful buildings I had ever seen, so I couldn’t resist. … I made a right. Then. I made a left. … A beautiful tree lined avenue appeared. Finally, I was in the heart of a beautiful mixed-used district. But before I pulled over to
Park em’ in the street.
Park em’ in the street.
… I noticed something.
There were no tenants in the buildings. As I approached the end of the avenue, a building that looked like it could’ve been a big retail tenant had a sign that read:
Vacant. Come see us at our new location.

Park em’ in the street.
….
I’m back on road.
Y’all remember when we used to race in the street?
I was fast.
Always have been good for a short distance sprint, but never did the marathons…
I guess that makes sense for why I have never gone the distance before.
Park em’ in the street.
Park em’ in the street.
We still outside … and …
… Well that was a surprise…
… but this unfortunately is not.
I went to a parade last Friday (one that was for the culture) and sadly, they had the babies out there in the middle of the street poppin it. Now, we can’t blame the babies, so we look at the parents. And now, since we are at the age when we look at anyone and see a problem, we look to the parents first before we look at the person, we have to be careful and not get caught up in blaming the parents of the parents of their parents and so on. At some point, the influence has to take credit for why these beautiful little nappy headed babies are being misled.

I just checked the news … and …
Now, we cannot make assumptions, but I can look you dead in the eye and ask…
Do you think Hip-hop/Rap music had any influence on these tragedies?
Yeah, that’s what I thought too. … You see, this culture of ours is so strong. It’s everywhere. It’s in everything. And it is ubiquitous. … Especially the music.
Hold on…
Park em’ in the street.

Tiko. Tell. Them. The. Truth.
Yes, I think the current career I have and the writing of books and pieces like this are a great example to show these babies (the next generations), that you can be successful, “cool”, and make something of your life, by doing something other than the stereotypical careers that the media highlights. …. Now, with that, these pieces I’m writing are not really getting to this “audience of need” if you know what I’m saying. Because outside of like the 44 of y’all, whom I love and appreciate, nobody else is reading my stuff. … So I hope you understand why I have this newfound urge to….
Call my womb brother in NYC up and tell him "It's time to do the mixtape!" I know there’s a select few individuals that are still so desperately waiting to hear the music too. But more importantly, I think it’s time to do this because after these recent events I’ve witnessed, and what I see in general, these babies need a better influence, because this diminishing, tired, FBGM/Wet em’ up in the street hip-hop rap genre that desperately needs a revival is not the solution to the problem.
Cuzzo, which road do we take?
Let’s just see what God has destined for us.
As I continue to…
Park em’ in the street.
Park em’ in the street.
Where my feelings at.
Park em’ in the street.
Park em’ in the street.
I just need a 1 on 1.
Park em’ in the street.
Park em’ in the street.
Next to my new tezi.
Park em’ in the street.
Park em’ in the street.
us niggas need help.
Park em’ in the street.
Park. Them. In. The. Street.
……..
It’s time to go back inside and work on the solution to this problem.
