... it's something you like, something that has been created with a certain level of quality that you approve of. It's something that piques your interest.
Being this to you takes some work, but I try and let it come naturally, just like the thoughts I have. About 2 years ago, I had this one: "the things we want in life are often possessed by the people who want what we have". At that time, as I recall, I believe I was trying to find the balance in this imbalanced world.
- - understanding the innate human desire to be wanted, liked, and loved - - remembering that problems are also opportunities - - volunteering one's time to educate the youth on true principles - - using curiosity to create - - listening to Gold Watch by Lupe Fiasco with intention - - PRAYING - - going out of one's way to make someone else feel special - - questioning why you just made love to someone, or why you chose not to - - realizing that too much isolation isn't good for anything - - trying the Julia Roberts or Matthew McConaughey spouse selection/treatment method - - reading Scripture - - talking to a friend - - looking in an open casket
Trying to find the balance in this imbalanced world is also - - a connection
There hasn't been a day that has passed in which I did not fear the Lord. I hope you're conscious of this too .... I know for a fact that people wake up every day and need and want something. We all have these desires, whether they are spiritual or worldly. Mixed in with this, is a human's belief on their purpose. Some people have a clear understating of why they are here, and some don't. Regardless, I don't think enough people are able to grasp what our lives really are in terms of this perspective ...
I wake up enjoying the fact that I am not in control of what the day may bring. I go through the day completely unaware of what God has destined for me. At any given moment He could bless me, make an example of me, exalt me up, or even take me home. The people that He chooses to cross our paths, and the small moments of bliss and pain that He allows us to see daily are never random either. The fact that the Lord can inflict any of His infinite possibilities on my life at any given moment is ... pretty cool to me too.
