In the end, I hope we get to lift the trophy together...

Playing team sports was a lot of fun growing up. Even in college when the level of competition distinguished the great players from the good ones, I still enjoyed playing a sport and the comradery of being on a team.
It's fascinating to see a group of individuals from different places and different backgrounds being brought together to endure a journey in pursuit of a championship. Teammates using their strengths to help each other win is the ultimate accomplishment.
Being a part of a team in both individual and team sports allowed me to meet some amazing people. Although it was predestined that I would have the cool and unique teammates that I did, it recently dawned on me that I never got to choose these teammates. In most cases, we never have the option of being able to choose our teammates, the people we work with, our parents, siblings, and so on. However, there is one aspect of life where we do … I think you know where I'm going with this...
Right now, I am in isolation, and you are in one of two scenarios. Either you currently are in isolation like me, or you currently have a teammate that you’ll eventually realize isn't the one who was meant to lead you to the promise land. Regardless, one of these days, you and I will select each other as "life teammates" and we will begin our highly awaited quest for the championship.  What a great day that will be! … Do you ever imagine it?? …. I do, and every time I do, I laugh right after, because I know it will probably happen in a way that you and I would never expect. That’s just the awe of God, but back to this isolation. … As individuals, we all struggle with the temptations of sin on a daily basis. This challenge becomes even more difficult when we are alone and isolated. Now, I know that the Holy Spirit is there to help us in those moments, but… having an additional soul next you and by your side as another vessel for the Holy Spirit to channel through, just makes these daily battles with sin a lot less difficult, I assume. The other downside of being in isolation is the fact that there are no assists being made. So, while I’m out here in isolation breaking through defenses like how Kobe was in that one 2k10 commercial, for the time being, I am still pursuing the dreams and goals that the Lord has bestowed upon me without you. However, once we join forces and we are competing together, I'll be able to pass you the ball or run a give and go with you, in which we can assist each other’s dreams and goals as we are supposed to. Having synergy in this aspect is the only way we will be able to win the chip. Starting a family. Raising God fearing children. Growing old together. Fulfilling our calling. ... Until death do us part, that's it. That is how we will do it.

..... .. ...

Until then, I'll see you at the draft you little lottery pick.
