the continual process of doing.
until God calls us home.

(scientifically)

[ Work = Force x Distance ] or [ W=Fs ]

Let’s start and end with these two WHYs…

Why 1: The Mystery of Faith

to be in deep thought. looking at stars in the night sky. wondering and asking God about his creation. why it is the way it is.. This is such a great experience. | However…. To my understanding, we (humans) were not designed to spend a lot of time in that experience. Lord knows what would happen if we did. Fortunately, as believers in Christ, we strive to spend every moment of our lives doing the work of the Lord. So much so that there is not enough time to spend in deep thought wondering God’s logic. As a result, the Mystery of Faith is preserved.

*Quick note: Work is the human’s past time. Work shouldn’t be viewed as a burden, it’s the opposite.

Why 2: Fruits of your Labor

It’s funny (but not). I was recently at a work event, and someone asked me who I worked for. I responded by saying the name of my employer, but shortly after, I realized I should’ve said “the Lord”.

Fortunately for me, I am able to work a job that allows me to do the work of the Lord through service. Designing, Planning, and collaborating with others to achieve an overall morally good objective is how I serve the Lord through my job that I am extremely blessed to have.

As followers of Christ most of us know “who” we work for, but I feel that not enough of us know “what” we work for.

Let’s go back to science for a sec.

All work produces something.
What have you have produced?
What are you producing?
And what is the product?

The Fruit of the Spirit

… and it is amazing, because its everything the Lord wants for us.

Quick note: What’s the opposite of work? Rest? Well work does make you tired. Whether it’s mental or physical, it still drains you. Therefore, we need rest. But too much rest leads to death.

So, we should…

Work to live
Work to laugh
Work to love
Work to cry
Work to enjoy the life God has destined for each of us.
